Kent McDaniel was born in Paducah, Kentucky, and grew up 4 miles away, across the Ohio in Massac County. After school he moved to Chicago, a fact he regrets each January. He has played in most every kind of band, and has appeared everywhere from The Last Stop Tavern in Massac County, Kentucky, to The Other End in New York City. Currently he and his wife and friends appear around Chicago in acoustic venues, where they mix styles and instrumentation with abandon. That his lyrics are catchy in no way renders them shallow. And don't say it does.
